Don't look a gift goose in the mouth...

Went to work this morning and came home with 17 geese that were destined to be buried in a hole in the ground...  Waste not want not I always say, and two slightly bloody hours later, we have 17 packages of pairs of breasts ready for the freezer...  This should keep us fed for a while!

Why were they going to be buried? Not the flu I trust.

Oh god no, we wouldn't be eating them if that were the case! Greylag geese are a major pest in Orkney and people come here to shoot them as pest control! The guys who shot these were from Ireland, so taking them home was not really an option...
