Have just got home from Sioe Salem where I won first place for a hand knitted item (okay, admittedly I was the only entrant in that category, but they could have decided that it was horrible enough that they didn't have to give me anything... :)

Salem....a particularly apposite name for SW Wales IMO. Full of Druids and assorted weirdoes.....oh and Greg and Jess too! :-))))))

Actually I think you will find that Salem, Massachusetts, home of the witch trials, is NOT named after Salem, Llandeilo -- Salem, Massachusetts is actually a corruption of the word Shalom, meaning peace. :)
