There is not much in between sunrise and sunset these days... We have had several frosts and the garden is now well and truly finished for the year. It gets dark at 5 pm and I must get back in the habit of doing things with knitting needles on these long evenings...

That's a pretty sunset.
Did you ever switch over to digital cameras?
All the pictures on the blog are shot digitally -- if you had to wait for me to process film and then scan it, there would be no blog! But that is all I use it for -- all my real work is still (and will always be) on film.
I love the colours in your first picture. We are surrounded by houses and trees so don't get to see sunrises and sunsets that well. Its one thing on my wish list if we ever move - more sky!
I'm glad you're still using real film. So am I. I actually took a photography class for the first time last month and for the first time I think I'm actually starting to "get" it. Basic stuff like the relationship of aperture to shutter speed, but I didn't really understand that before (heck, I didn't know there was one). There's so much to think about when trying to take a good picture! Well, atleast hopefully I'll take better pics and waste lest film, it's a darn expensive hobby.
One of the (many) things I like about film is because there is the cost of the film involved, you really have to stop and think before you shoot. With digital you can just shoot and shoot and shoot -- and this is making us become worse photographers...
Wow! Beautiful sky!
...knitting wooly things to keep warm....
wow! that picture is amazing!
