The weather here was pretty hideous over the weekend --
extremely windy -- but luckily we only lost part of a tree:

It's now a very small bonfire and an equally small quantity of firewood...

Also, Bart's peacock came for another visit today -- I tried to take a photo when he had his tail open, but he kept closing it by the time I got the camera out!

This is an extraordinary peacock. I'm a photographer in Boston, Massachusetts and I've sworn to my editors that the next photo story I do will be about peacocks in all their forms and permutations in our society. Congratulations on being host to this wonderful being. It is surely a blessing. Also, I'm terribly sorry about your cat. I know how difficult losing your beloved feline friend is. Good luck.
